Madonna and Daughter Kick Off New Fashion Line

Madonna and her young daughter, Lourdes Leon, have joined forces to create a new fashion line. It’s called Material Girl and the clothes are really cute.
Lourdes has been a bit of a fashionista since birth. I suppose having a super rich mom who has taken fashion risks her entire career would lead to this sort of thing.
Madonna and her daughter provided a viewing for their clothing line at the Macy’s store in New York City. Taylor Momsen is one of the spokesgirls for the line. She was present at the NY launch, dressed in a black mini-dress, straight hair and tons of eye makeup. Her dress was paired with thigh-high boots.
Lourde’s of course was in attendence and I suppose dressed to impress. Her style was a bit of a departure from Taylor. She wore shorts, a cool-looking black, leather jacket, flannel shirt and odd looking ripped tights (sorry I don’t like this look).
Kiddie lines have proven to be pretty popular, think Miley Cyrus and the Olsen Twins. Parents tend to spend money on their children even in a struggling economy. Kids are persistant when it comes to wearing the right clothes and parents often give in.
We’ll have to wait awhile to see how this new launch plays out. Either way, both Madonna and her daughter will be fine. Madonna has plenty of money for the both of them and probably several small countries as well!

Lindsay Lohan Denied Bail: Behind Bars

The saga continues! Everyone close to the Lindsay Lohan situation believed that this morning’s hearing for her recent probabtion violation, would be a short and sweet one.
“Insiders” and ”experts” believed that the Judge would allow Lohan to post bail and then send her on her merry way, at least until the official hearing.
Well, surprise, surprise! Judge Elden Fox shocked everyone. He refused to listen to any arguments from attorneys. Instead, he denied Lohan’s bail and had her taken into custody. So how long will Lindsay be behind bars? Many believe until October 22nd.
In case you haven’t been following all of the drama, Lindsay is in trouble for failing two drug tests. These two failed drug tests are such a big deal because Lohan was on probation and her staying out of jail was contigent upon her not using drugs. To make sure she stayed clean, she was required to take weekly drug test.
Lohan ended up failing her drug tests for two consecutive weeks. One test was positive for Adderall and the other for cocaine. These failed drug tests are in violation with her probation and could (actually, now they have) land her in the slammer.
The amount of time she will end up spending in jail for these offenses would be in addition to the time she is currently spending behind bars.
Maybe Lindsay will finally take the legal system seriously. She has been skating by so long, getting by on her tears, looks, stardom and saying the right things. Maybe Lohan will finally get that she is like everyone else, and so not above the law.
Hopefully, this move by Judge Elden Fox will help save Lindsay’s life because she is certainly out of control and more time spent on the streets might have def been harmful!

Ashton’s Alleged Mistress Claims His Marriage Is A Scam

It seems like the marriage between Ashton Kutcher and Demi keeps taking hit, after hit, after hit. The latest comes from an alleged mistress of Ashton’s, Brittney Jones. She claims that the two (Ashton and the mistress) had a pretty hot affair.
According to Jones, her and Demi are actually friends and the marriage between Demi and Ashton is completely fake, a “sham” as she puts it.
Jones claims that her and Ashton would arrange their “meetings” via text message and then get together when Demi wasn’t around. Supposedly, Ashton and Demi are really upset about the rumors.
However, so far, neither are talking, not even to those people closest to them. Rumor has it, that they have enacted a bit of a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy similar to the United States government.
Whether or not the marriage is a scam or not, I don’t know. If it is, that’s too bad and frankly a bit sad. If the marriage is true and Demi and Ashton are simply hitting a rough patch, I wish them luck, though the age difference is bound to make things more difficult then they already would be.

Linsay Lohan Bails

Yesterday, we reported that Lohan was taken into custody during her probation violation.
The judge threw the book at her, sending her to jail until her October 22nd hearing. He didn’t even give her attorneys a chance to argue.
In my opinion, good for him. Perhaps what Lohan needs is a bit of tough love and not enabling. She seems to get away with things that the regular person doesn’t and seems to relish in it. She also is a threat to herself.
Putting her behind bars would have kept her away from drugs. Lohan was out of jail for more then 3 weeks before she was busted for two failed drug tests. Well, although the judge may have had good intentions, they weren’t legal ones.
According to California law, a person can’t be denied jail if their underlying offense is a misdemeanor and Lohan’s original offense was. Lindsay’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman, file an appeal and won. Lohan has since posted bail and has been released.
She must wear a SCRAM bracelet and is subject to searches by the police at their choosing. Well, let’s hope that Lohan gets her stuff together and doesn’t harm herself whiles she’s out of the slammer.

Jessica Simpson and BFF Ken Paves On The Outs?

Rumor has it that Jessica Simpson and her hairdresser/best friend, Ken Paves, are on the outs. Once totally inseparable, today, they’re on the outs, at least for now.
Ken Paves was not only Simpsons best friend but he was also her hairdresser. He made sure that her hair always looked great. Not sure on who will step in and fulfill that role.
Well, according to someone close to the situation, the split is a result of a pretty serious fight between the two. No one quite knows (or at least they aren’t telling) what the fight was about. However, the “insider” has revealed that the cause of the fight was something minor.
Simpson is supposedly crushed over the “break up” and wants to talk to Ken. He’s, however, not budging. He even opted out of her 30th birthday part after she graciously invited him.
Paves seems to not have only gotten over the blow-out and Jessica as well. He even recently took to Twitter to announce that Eva Longoria is now his best friend. Wow, that sounds petty. The two seem to be fighting like 12-year old girls. Hopefully, they will get it together, kiss and makeup. Life is too short and friends are too precious.
For his part, Paves denies that there is a riff. He has gone on record to say that he is still close to Jessica and her family. He claims that both him and Jessica have been so busy that they haven’t been able to see each other. Hmm, sounds a bit suspicious. They were always able to make time before. I wonder what’s really up.

Emily Deschanel Marries Sweetheart

According to Popeater, Emily Deschanel has tied the knot with now-hubby David Hornsby. Deschanel is a star on the hit show, ‘Bones.” The 33 year old actress got married in Los Angeles, her home town, in an intimate, evening ceremony.

David Hornsby, the dapper groom, is also in the industry. He works as both an actor and writer. He is perhaps best known for his role in ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.’ He memorably played Rickety Cricket.
Emily has been a part of the long running and successful televison show, Bones, which is in its 6th season. She will earn a production credit this season and there is some talk that she will direct an episode in 2010.
Emily isn’t the only person in her family to recently tie the knot. Her younger sister, Zooey Deschnel from ‘500 Days of Summer’ got married to Ben Gibbard, the lead singer for Death Cab for Cutie.
Well, it looks like congratulations is in order. Hopefully, Emily and David will be able to do what many Hollywood couples haven’t been able to, which is to stay together.

David Beckham Is Taking On The Tabloids

David Beckham is suing U.S. Weekly over accusations leveled by them concerning his marriage to former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham. According to the tabloid, David Beckham had a tryst with a high-cost call girl.

David has vehemently denied the claims and has decided to fight them, in court. The soccer star has filed a suit against popular tabloid magazine, In Touch Weekly. He has accused the magzine of libel, intentional affliction of emotional distress and slander.

U.S. Weekly claims that David had an affair with Irma Nici, a 20-something call girl. According to them, he and Nici got together on at least three occassions. David and Victoria (Posh Spice), have been married for over a decade. They have three children together. Concerned about what their children would think if they came across the strory, they have decided to make the tabloid pay.

The Becks aren’t the first couple to sue the tabloids. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt filed a lawsuit against a magazine which purported that the unmarried duo were breaking up and divvying up their assets. If David Beckham is innocent, he should be seeing a pretty hefty payday soon. Its likely that the U.S. Weekly will settle the suit out of court.
